Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of BDF Journal, provided under the Black DeFi Family brand. By using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use it. Our Privacy Policy explains information processing.

Using your journal

You must be at least 18, have authority to provide the information and connect the accounts you use, and comply with applicable laws and provider terms. You are responsible for your account access and for keeping import tokens and provider keys confidential. Notify support@bdfjournal.com if you suspect unauthorized access. Do not submit another person’s account data without their authorization.

A recordkeeping tool

BDF Journal helps you record and review trading activity. It is not a broker, exchange, custodian, investment adviser, or tax-preparation service. It does not hold funds, execute orders, or give personalized financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. You are responsible for your trading decisions and for verifying records against official broker or exchange statements. Past performance does not guarantee future results.

Calculations and connected data

Results depend on the information supplied. Missing fills, currency conversions, estimated fees, session cutoffs, stale prices, and provider outages may affect calculations. Balance estimates are not verified account statements. Read-only Kraken snapshots show asset balances and recent executions; executions are not automatically treated as realized profit. Bitcoin tracking covers the supplied address only. A personal import API requires a compatible bridge or script and completed USD-denominated trade results. Not every broker or asset is supported.

By connecting a provider, you authorize the app to store the submitted credentials and retrieve the data described in the connection form and Privacy Policy. Use dedicated read-only credentials. You can disconnect, revoke import tokens, or revoke provider keys. Third-party services have their own terms, availability, fees, and limitations. BDF Journal is not affiliated with or endorsed by a provider merely because it supports its data.

Your content and acceptable use

You retain your rights to the records and notes you submit. You grant BDF Journal permission to process, store, display, and back them up as needed to provide and protect the service. This permission ends when the content is deleted, subject to retention described in the Privacy Policy and applicable law.

Do not attempt to access another member’s records, bypass security, abuse API limits, upload unlawful content or malware, impersonate others, or disrupt the service. We may restrict access or remove content when reasonably necessary to address abuse, security concerns, legal obligations, or violations of these terms.

Availability and changes

The service and supported integrations may change, be interrupted, or be discontinued. Keep independent backups of important records. These terms do not enroll you in a paid plan. Any future paid offering will describe pricing and require separate agreement before charging you.

Disclaimers and responsibility

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of uninterrupted availability, complete accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose. BDF Journal is not responsible for market losses or decisions made using journal calculations, or for failures of third-party services, except where applicable law requires otherwise. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limits mandatory consumer rights.

Ending use and deleting data

You may stop using the service at any time, export your records, disconnect providers, and use the deletion control in Connections. Removing app data does not close your ChatGPT or provider accounts. Contact us if you need help exercising data rights.

Updates and questions
